UTM and RWTH Aachen University Visit to MCMC myMaker IoT Lab

Visit by UTM and RWTH Aachen profs and students to MCMC myMaker IoT Lab to share and discuss about maker and IoT initiative.



A total 28 students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), KL Office attended this study visit lead by Dr Toni Anwar (UTM) and Andreas Steffens (RWTH Aachen Univ). Mr. John Tay from Digital Lifestyle and Society Department MCMC briefed visitors on MCMC DLM and myMaker initiative. UTM students also presented their ongoing IoT projects and received feedback from RWTH and MCMC. Two lucky team was selected last year to do their internship in Germay for a duration of 3 months presented their project and experience working in Germany. They presented their involvement in 3D Retail mapping and transportation system.
Steffens from RWTH Aachen University presented their IoT technologies incorporated from various ecosystem. Visitors then visited the myMaker IoT Lab and the myMaker programs. Most of the UTM students then signed up as myMaker members. We see a great potential to further explore collaboration for maker initiative with RWTH Aachen and UTM in the near future.
