Digital Concept Home (MMU)

Digital Home Project is funded by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), in collaboration with Multimedia University and various industry partners, namely LG, TMNET, Maxis, CTC Resources, EOM System, ASTRO, Intel and Senstech. The main objective of MCMC/MMU Digital Home Lab is to showcase the latest digital home technology and lifestyle by using broadband internet access, especially high speed broadband, to the general public. It is one of the initiatives undertaken by MCMC under the MyICMS 886 strategy for the promotion of broadband usage and digital lifestyle.

By leveraging on the widely available and affordable broadband internet access, it is hoped that the MMU Digital Home Lab will be able to bring a message to the general Malaysian public on the following benefits of digital home and lifestyle:

  • Convenient Life, through intelligent networked in-home monitoring and control system.
  • Healthy Life, through intelligent networked in-home healthcare monitoring system.
  • Secure Life, through intelligent networked security monitoring and control system.
  • Joyful Life, through networked home entertainment system.
